Coupling devices, fifth wheel, kingpin, and locking mechanisms
Air and electrical lines between tractor and trailer
Frame, crossmembers, and visible structural components
Wheels, rims, and tires
Suspension components and axles

We provide mobile DOT annual inspections for a variety of power unit configurations, including straight trucks, utility and service trucks, dump trucks, and vocational vehicles. Inspections are performed in accordance with FMCSA 49 CFR §396.17 and Appendix G, as applicable.

We provide mobile DOT annual inspections for hotshot power units and select non-air-brake trailers commonly used in hotshot operations. Inspections are performed on-site to support compliance and reduce downtime for owner-operators and small fleets.

Hotshot inspection services may include (as applicable):

DOT annual inspections for hotshot power units (pickup-based and medium-duty)
Lighting and electrical system checks on attached trailers
Breakaway system presence and function (if equipped)
Gooseneck, pintle-hook, and bumper-pull coupling devices
Frame, tongue, and visible structural components
Wheels, tires, axles, and suspension components
Required safety equipment and reflectors

Trailer inspection scope:

Trailer inspections are performed only when attached to the power unit

What types of vehicles do you inspect?

We service a wide range of commercial vehicles, including power units such as semi-truck tractors, straight trucks, box trucks, and work trucks (F-250 / F-350 and similar).

DOT annual inspections may also be performed on trailers when attached to a power unit and when all required systems are present and operational at the time of inspection. This includes semi-trailers inspected in combination with a tractor, as well as select non-air-brake trailers such as hotshot, gooseneck, pintle-hook, utility, and service trailers, where applicable.

Standalone or dropped semi-trailers are not inspected.

Trailer electrical testing and ABS diagnostic services are available as a separate, non-DOT service.

How long does a typical inspection take?

A typical mobile DOT inspection usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the vehicle and its condition.

Do you offer inspections outside of Memphis, Tennessee?

Yes, we primarily serve Memphis and Shelby County, however we can travel to nearby areas that include West Memphis, AR; North Mississippi, and Jackson, TN depending on your needs and our availability.
